Accordionist
A full-time professional for many years, David has performed at musical events and festivals all over the UK and abroad … including Canada, Middle East, Switzerland, Iceland and New Zealand among many others.
Once described as “hugely talented and hilarious” [Shetland Accordion Festival], his solo concerts provide excellent entertainment, displaying his vast knowledge and incredible ability. A lover of world music, David takes us on a tour to countries many of us might rarely associate with the accordion.
David can be seen playing in the Robert Duvall movie “A Shot at Glory”. He has performed for Polish president Lech Kaczynski, and has shared a stage with Sir Jimmy Shand.
An Extraordinary Talent
David is the resident accordionist in the “Spirit of Scotland” show, which performs 250 evenings per year in Edinburgh, Scotland.
“The show is a rip roaring evening of traditional Scottish song and dance accompanied by a great selection of quality Scottish food to delight your pallet.” www.spiritofscotlandshow.com
David also engages with various other musicians, ensembles and theatre companies, some of which can be seen in the photo gallery.
A prize collaboration is with clarinet virtuoso Dick Lee. Accordion and Clarinet music from around the world. www.davidvernonanddicklee.com
